Nestled alongside the picturesque Mary River, Kenilworth offers a relaxed country atmosphere surrounded by rolling hills, rainforest, national parks and some of Queensland’s most scenic hinterland drives. Conveniently located just 40 minutes from Noosa, 45 minutes from Sunshine Coast Airport and approximately 90 minutes from Brisbane, it’s the ideal getaway for campers, caravanners and outdoor adventurers.
Our community-owned showgrounds offer powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites, with caravan clubs welcome, along with ample toilet and shower facilities. The spacious grounds also feature a swimming pool, cricket oval, rodeo arena, cattle yards, campdraft cut-out yard and skate park — providing the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the outdoors.
From the showgrounds, visitors can easily walk to many of Kenilworth’s popular attractions including the famous Kenilworth Bakery, local cafes, country pub, museum, library and bowls club. Spend your days swimming, kayaking or fishing in the Mary River, exploring boutique shops and galleries, or discovering nearby attractions including Conondale National Park and with its beautiful rainforest walks, waterfalls and scenic lookouts.
Throughout the year, the showgrounds come alive with a range of much-loved community events and festivals. Annual highlights include the famous Kenilworth Shows & Rodeo held each September, along with family fun days, the Chook Chase, equestrian events, live entertainment and community celebrations that bring visitors from across the region together.
The Kenilworth Hall, dining room, kitchen and cold room are also available for hire, making the grounds ideal for weddings, group gatherings, markets, workshops, sporting events and private functions.
